How Is the Foundation Funded?
Our operating budget at the IU Foundation comes from three primary sources:
- A fee paid by IU to the Foundation for fundraising, investment management, and associated administrative services. The University contracts with IUF for these services.
- An administrative fee of 1 percent on the assessed market value of the endowment held by IUF.
- Smaller portions of the IUF budget are provided by income from rents, royalties, the Foundation’s own operating endowment, and unrestricted gifts.
