James and Marian Abromson Scholarship
Candidates
Undergraduate and graduate residents of Jay County, Indiana. Award winners approved by IU Varsity Club.

Anniversary Scholarship (IUF Class Campaigns)
Candidates
Full-time undergraduates and graduates at IU Bloomington. Preference will be given to undergraduates. Renewable upon maintaining a 3.0 or higher GPA.

Qualifications
Academic excellence is required. Consideration may also be given to those with financial need. Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale required. Incoming freshmen must submit a high school transcript verifying GPA.

Complete a separate Anniversary Scholarship application (PDF) and cover sheet (PDF). Applicants for other IU Foundation scholarships may be considered. The IU Foundation coordinates the selection of recipients. Class campaign representatives may give input into the selection guidelines on a periodic basis. The application deadline is March 1 each year.

R. L. Armstrong Family Scholarship
Candidates
Undergraduate and graduate, employees, or children of employees of HomeCrest Corp., Goshen, Indiana. Award winners approved by committee from HomeCrest Corp.

Bart Bartle Scholarship
Candidates
Full-time undergraduate and graduate students who are members of the IU Hockey Club and approved by the club's faculty adviser. Second preference to members of Sigma Chi fraternity.

Qualifications
Academic excellence, financial need, and experience in extracurricular activities are required.

Howard T. Batman Scholarship
Candidates
Undergraduate residents of Crawford or Vigo Counties, Indiana, who graduated from a high school in Crawford or Vigo Counies, Indiana and have been approved by the IU Foundation.

Amount
$4,000 each per year

Application/Nomination
Scholarship application should be returned to the IU Foundation scholarship coordinator no later than February 1. Scholarship is renewable during recipient's undergraduate enrollment at IU Bloomington, provided a minimum GPA of 2.8 or above is maintained. Amount: $4,000.00 each year. Retna Inez Blackman Memorial Scholarship
Candidates
Undergraduates with a declared major in the field of Information Technology, including those in the School of Informatics, COAS Department of Computer Science, Kelley School of Business Computer Information Systems, School of Library and Information Science, or any other department or school that is appropriate.

Qualifications
Students from Washington County, Indiana with first preference given to Salem High School and second preference given to either Eastern or West Washington High Schools. Renewable during recipient's undergraduate enrollment at IU Bloomington, provided a minimum GPA of 3.0 is maintained.

Bloomington Press Club
Candidates
Two - $1,000 Stipends to Undergraduates, (Jr. or Sr.), interested in serving as interns for local social service agencies. Application Deadline: Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. Students will be notified no later than 4/30/08.

Qualifications
Each intern selected will work with a not-for-profit agency. Applicants should have interest in social services and be prepared to give approximately 150 hours of their time in exchange for the stipend. The student and agency will arrange work schedules. Each student will be assigned a mentor from the Bloomington Press Club to serve as an adviser and liaison among the agency, the Press Club, and the student. Applicants should have writing skills applicable to the production of newsletters, press releases, brochures, and other promotional materials. Desktop publishing experience or coursework is preferred. The stipend will be paid in three installments: $350 at the beginning of the internship; $350 credited to the intern's Bursar account during the fall semester of the internship; and $300 paid to the student upon completion of the internship.

The Christopher A. Bowden Memorial Scholarship

Undergraduates, IU Bloomington

Qualifications
Graduating seniors from Lawrence North High School. Must possess outstanding leadership qualities and volunteer activities. Renewable if maintaining a 3.0 GPA. Preference given to students with financial need.

Browning Scholarship
Candidates
IU Bloomington undergraduates, juniors, or seniors.

Qualifications
Minimum 3.0 GPA. Must exemplify high standards of character, citizenship, and inspired leadership.

Dr. Ernest D. Butler Humanitarian Scholarship
Candidates
Full-time Bloomington undergraduates and graduate students.

Qualifications
Must show religious and community involvement. Preference: African Americans, Hispanics, and Native Americans.

Graduate student in the Jacobs School of Music majoring in Musicology, to be given on even years, beginning fall 2008, alternating yearly with an undergraduate student in the Hutton Honors College, on the odd years.

Chi Omega Scholarship
Candidates
Undergraduate students recommended by Corporation Board of Theta Beta chapter of Chi Omega and approved by the IU Foundation.

Circle of Life/Bill Z. Littlefield Scholarship
Candidates
Full-time undergraduate students at any IU campus.

Qualifications
Students who has been diagnosed with a life threatening form of cancer, have a financial need and have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale). Scholarship is renewable. Applicant must provide a HIPAA authorization for use and disclosure of Protected Health Information to their cancer treatment facility/physician. Preference will be given to applicants who were treated at the IU Medical center.

Julia Crenner Scholarship

Qualifications
Must have graduated from high school with an accumulative grade point average (at least a 3.5 on a 4.0 scale). Financial need. In-state or out-of-state students. Renewable for up to four years while in pursuit of a baccalaureate degree, so long as at least a B average (3.0 on 4.0) is maintained.

Full- or part-time students enrolled at any IU campus. Recipients who are incoming freshmen should have a GPA of 2.0 or better on a 4.0 scale. Preference will be given to residents of the city of Bloomington, or residents of Marion, Fayette, Henry, or Wayne counties of Indiana.

Edward L. Hutton Scholarship
Candidates
Incoming freshmen nominated by the principals of Bedford North Lawrence High School, Bloomfield High School, and Eastern High School.

Qualifications
Individuals who have maintained at least a B average (3.0 on a 4.0 scale) in their high school work, have given evidence of leadership via participation in extracurricular activities, are of good character, and have financial need. This scholarship will be renewable for one year provided the recipient has attended school full-time (at least 12 credit hours/semester) and maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).

Full-time undergraduate students majoring in forensics or criminal justice on any campus of Indiana University.

Qualifications
Preference will be given to students who are or have been employees of the Indiana State Police or who are members of the immediate family of an employee of the Indiana State Police with further preference to those students in this group who have or have had some connection with the Peru, Indiana Post of the State Police.

Qualifications
Eligible members of the Beta Eta Chapter of Sigma Nu Fraternity will be given first priority. Preference is given to students who are majoring in the field of medicine, or related life science fields and intend to practice medicine. Financial need and academic merit shall be considered.

Qualifications
Minimum 3.5 GPA. Preference given to students with an active role in IUSA or the College Democrats. Students must have spent a minimum of one academic year on the IU Bloomington campus as an undergraduate or graduate student, enrolled at IU Bloomington campus, and involvement in the IU Bloomington campus and the Bloomington community. Recipients selected based on a 500-750 word essay describing their personal goals and involvement in making IU Bloomington a better place for their fellow students. Copies of all applicant essays will be provided to the Donor.

Must be in good standing with Delta Upsilon Fraternity with no outstanding house bills, fines, or fees; declared major at IU Bloomington (preference given to those in the liberal arts or the Kelley School of Business); minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (4.0 scale); demonstrated exceptional leadership within the Delta Upsilon house at IU Bloomington; strong record of participation in extracurricular activities on campus.
