Intern and Practicum Opportunities at the IU Foundation

IU Foundation is a valuable resource for graduate students interested in nonprofit management and fundraising.

Your position with the Foundation will not be compensated; in its place we offer practicum class credit and provide both interns and practicums with a valuable and extensive understanding of development operations and related areas in a practicum setting.

In either of these positions you will be assigned to various work areas based on department need and staff availability. Departments may include Research, Student Foundation, Telefund, Special Gifts, Marketing, or Creative Services. This experience will allow you the opportunity to meet and work with professionals within the Foundation who can provide valuable insight about their departments and also their individual career paths.

Qualifications

Prospective interns and practicums must have completed a bachelor’s degree, be accepted into any of the graduate programs at Indiana University, and must be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) hours per semester. Preference will be given to applicants who have been involved with the IU Foundation as volunteers or students who are pursuing a career in development or nonprofit management. Interns and practicums must be available to work 15-20 hrs./week.
