About IUF
The Indiana University Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to maximizing private resources for Indiana University. Chartered in 1936, the IU Foundation partners with IU to raise an average of more than $100 million annually in contributions for IU from more than 100,000 donors. Donors include individuals, corporations, foundations, and other organizations. The IU Foundation manages the endowment of $1.6 billion, administer more than 4,700 gift accounts, and provides related fundraising services to IU and to donors. IU consistently ranks in the nation's top 2 percent of universities in total voluntary support it receives from the private sector. Among public universities, Indiana University ranks in the top 2 percent in the market value of the endowment.
The IU Foundation has offices in Bloomington, Indianapolis, and Chicago.
Through the IU Student Foundation in Bloomington and the IUPUI Student Foundation in Indianapolis, nearly 500 students a year participate in activities that develop leadership skills and an understanding of philanthropy and service.
