Restricted and Unrestricted Giving

Your unrestricted gift is important. During Fiscal Year 2008, 1.5 percent of all private gifts to IUF was given without restrictions on how they will be used. An unrestricted gift gives IU the latitude to direct gift funds to where they are most needed. It allows the University to take advantage of unexpected opportunities that occur after state budgets are set.
