Beili

My fellowship gives me confidence in what I'm doing and frees me to really focus on why I'm here: to contribute to scientific research. I no longer have to worry about being overcommitted or making ends meet.

Graduate Fellowships

Recruiting the best graduate students often comes down to finances. It is common for these students to enter graduate school with significant debt from their undergraduate educations. Add to that the potential for incurring further debt and many choose to go where fellowship support is most available and generous.

Indiana University competes with the world's most elite institutions of higher learning for qualified graduate students. Fellowships are the most essential tool in our ability to recruit and retain them.

We have developed strategies that match fellowship programs, graduate students' talents and needs, our benefactors' interests, and IU's areas of excellence. These strategies result in opportunities that prepare graduate students to help solve the world's most pressing problems. For instance, the IU School of Law Skadden Fellowships award law students who wish to devote their professional lives to providing legal services to the poor, the elderly, the homeless, and the disabled.

By creating a named graduate fellowship, you become a critical partner with IU in our mission to transform lives through pioneering research, creative activity, and the innovative application of knowledge.
