Bill Heller provides development direction and support to the leadership of the IUPUI campus, which has nearly 30,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students and 120,000 living alumni. Located in Indiana’s capital city, IUPUI is a national model of an urban research campus. Mr. Heller and his staff provide fundraising, marketing, and development operation services to the campus, as well as specialized services in corporate and foundation relations.
Mr. Heller has more than 35 years' professional experience in business, fundraising, and development. After receiving his MBA from IU in 1969, Mr. Heller taught marketing at the IPFW campus, followed by 14 years with Coopers & Lybrand, now PricewaterhouseCoopers, in Fort Wayne and Indianapolis. Mr. Heller returned to IU as director of development at the Kelley School of Business, where he was instrumental in creating funding for faculty endowments during the campus’ academic endowment fundraising campaign. Mr. Heller then joined IUF as a major gift officer, was later named director of major gifts, and then vice president for Indianapolis.
