As vice president of university wide programs, Mr. Herbert is responsible for generating private support for one of IU's most ambitious goals, the University's $2 billion life sciences initiative. The initiative aims to make IU and the state of Indiana a national leader in the life sciences sector. In 2006, he returned to IUF as vice president of university wide programs.
