Karen Pieper is responsible for enabling IUF's Board of Directors to serve IU through their work on the Board. The Board, which includes nearly 50 principal directors, 25 life directors, and 14 honorary directors, comprises business and civic leaders and generous donors.

As corporate secretary, Ms. Pieper acts as the liaison between the Board of Directors and IUF's executive leadership. She is responsible for the organization and operation of board meetings and activities.

Prior to joining IUF, Ms. Pieper was the executive secretary to the president at Monroe County Bank and secretary to the director at the IU Alumni Association. She has held various positions at IUF, including assistant to the senior vice president for development and manager for IUF's office of the president.
