Onward! The Curtis R. Simic Scholarship for Leaders

The best leaders—whether in public service, corporate circles, or higher education—beget leadership. They invest precious resources of talent, vision, and commitment to produce new resources for the next generation.

Curt Simic is such a leader. He retired as president and chief executive officer of IUF in July 2008, culminating a distinguished 44-year career in higher education fundraising.

To honor Curt’s service to IU, the IUF Board of Associates—advisory board to the IU Student Foundation—established Onward! The Curtis R. Simic Scholarship for Leaders.

This prestigious scholarship will be awarded to IU Bloomington juniors and seniors who demonstrate outstanding leadership and commitment to positive engagement in the IU community. Candidates must be enrolled full-time and maintain at least a 3.0 GPA. In-state and out-of-state students are eligible. The amount of the scholarship will equal the cost of in-state tuition for one year at IU Bloomington.
