IUF Telefund

Founded in 1950, the Telefund is an IU tradition. Last year, Telefund associates raised over $4 million for student scholarships, classroom equipment, new technologies, career development, and more. But the Telefund is also a great place to meet people and have fun. All while getting paid!

The Job

At the Telefund, we contact IU's alumni and friends to talk about what's new at IU and, of course, to raise money. Without their support, IU wouldn't be one of the best places in the world to get an education. And alumni and friends know it. They've been supporting the university for more than 125 years.

You are only required to work three shifts per week of your choosing, one of which must be a weekend shift.

Monday through Friday shifts are five hours and run from 5 to 10 p.m. We have two shifts on Saturday, which are four hours that run from noon to 4 p.m. and 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. We also have two shifts on Sunday which are four and one-half hours and run 12:30 to 5 p.m., and 5:30 to 10 p.m.

Just make sure to bring your proof of age (you must be over 17) when you apply.
Note: Applicants cannot be in the United States on an F1 Visa.

With more than 100 people on staff, there's never a dull moment at the Telefund. Year after year, associates return to have fun, make a difference, earn money, and develop the communication skills that will help them succeed after graduation.

The Pay

We start you off with a base wage of $7.50 per hour. But we award bonuses twice a semester. Most of our staff makes between $8.00 and $9.00 per hour, but you can make up to $9.50. It’s easy to make the most of your IU Telefund experience.

The Location

The Telefund is located on the north side of campus, at the intersection of State Road 45/46 Bypass and the Jordan Avenue Extension.

From Fee Lane: Turn right onto State Road 45/46 Bypass. Turn left after you see the sign that says "IU Foundation Showalter House." The Telefund is the building on the right side of the driveway by the golf course.

Heading East on 10th Street: Turn left onto State Road 45/46 Bypass. Pass the IU golf course. Turn right after you see the sign that says "IU Foundation Showalter House." The Telefund is the building on the right side of the driveway by the golf course.
