BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana University Foundation (IUF) and the Indiana University Alumni Association (IUAA) have contracted with Blackbaud to replace the university’s current legacy donor and alumni data systems with Blackbaud CRM™. Named ‘Crimson,’ the new system will provide the IUF and IUAA with enhanced capabilities in fundraising, prospect research and management, marketing, reporting, analysis, volunteer and event management, and website administration. System implementation will take place over the next several months with an anticipated launch in the fall of 2014.
“The new Crimson system will increase the effectiveness of our fundraising and alumni relations efforts and help drive advancement opportunities throughout the university community,” said Dan Smith, president and CEO, IU Foundation. “It will also give our friends and alumni more ways to connect with and ultimately impact Indiana University.”
The Crimson system will house more than 1.4 million records and serve more than 1,000 users from the IUF, IUAA, and the wider university advancement community. As one of the nation’s largest alumni organizations, the IU Alumni Association serves more than 570,000 graduates worldwide. The IU Foundation oversees one of the largest public university endowments in the country, with a market value of nearly $1.57 billion.
