Bishop is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, a master fellow of the Indiana Bar Foundation, and a distinguished fellow of the Indianapolis Bar Foundation, as well as a member of the American Bar Association and the Estate Planning Council of Indianapolis. A 2011 Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers award recipient, Bishop was also named a 2011 Indiana Woman of Achievement by Ball State University. She has been a Five Star Wealth Manager since 2009, an Indiana Super Lawyer since 2004, and is recognized by Best Lawyers in America in Trust and Estate Planning and Estate Litigation. Bishop has an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell—the highest rating conferred upon an attorney by the prestigious peer review system for lawyers.
Bishop’s husband, Michael, is also a partner at Cohen Garelick & Glazier, specializing in the areas of probate and trust litigation, civil litigation, mediation and arbitration, and adoption law. He has been named an Indiana Super Lawyer in the area of litigation each year since 2004 and recognized by the Best Lawyers in America in Alternate Dispute Resolution and Arbitration, as well Estate Litigation, since 2006.
Bishop graduated with a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the Kelley School of Business in 1979, and earned a juris doctorate from the McKinney School of Law at Indiana University in 1982.
