IU Foundation Response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus)
The IU Foundation is working closely with Indiana University’s leadership to monitor events related to COVID-19 (coronavirus). Our top priority at this time is the health and well-being of our staff and their families, students and campus partners, alumni and friends.
In accordance with Governor Holcomb’s Executive Order for “Hoosiers to Stay at Home,” the IU Foundation will be closing its doors to the public until April 7. This includes Showalter House, Wilcox House, Headley Schoolhouse, and 17th Street in Bloomington. In addition, the IUPUI Chancellor has advised that University Hall on the IUPUI campus should be staffed only by essential personnel. The Chicago office is already closed, and our staff there are telecommuting. You may continue to reach us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Under the current order of the Governor, the IU Foundation may consider reopening its facilities on April 7. However, this situation is fluid, and future developments may affect the “re-open” date. We will keep you updated as we know more.
As was previously announced, all IUF-affiliated events and gatherings will be postponed, canceled, or conducted virtually for the rest of the academic semester. As a result, the Men's and Women's Little 500 bike races are canceled for this academic semester. This includes all associated events, including the qualifications events. The possibility of holding the events at some future date beyond this semester will be reassessed at a later time.
Thank you for all you do for Indiana University. We wish you all good health in this uncertain time.
