Bound by a shared commitment to help Black students achieve their educational goals at IU, the Indiana University Black Philanthropy Circle (BPC) supports the IU Office of the Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Multicultural Affairs (OVPDEMA) in replacing obstacles with opportunities, so that students, faculty, and staff from historically underrepresented backgrounds find a sense of belonging at IU.
Black Philanthropy Circle
Supporting Black communities
When you join us, you join a diverse group of IU alumni and friends committed to improving the recruitment, retention, and support of Black students by supporting scholarships, grants, education, programs, and leadership and career opportunities. The BPC is also dedicated to improving the recruitment, representation, and support of Black faculty and staff. Through collaboration, the BPC helps coordinate programs and supports initiatives to address the educational issues affecting Black communities and strengthen the engagement of Black alumni and friends of the university.
Together, we lead by giving back
As a member of the BPC, you will join a community of dedicated men and women who not only help to change the lives of students, faculty, and staff at IU, but also shape the future of Indiana University.
