We are a diverse team with wide-ranging personal and professional backgrounds—from finance and accounting to marketing, IT, and customer service.

We do, however, share one thing in common: We were all drawn to the IU Foundation because we believe in the power of higher education to transform the world. We feel there is no better way to apply our professional expertise than in support of one of the world’s finest public universities. In addition to providing resources for learning, advancement, and growth, we offer a wide range of opportunities to join cross-functional teams and groups (such as our New Hire Onboarding Buddy Program, Mentoring Program, or our FUNdationTEam). The end result? Our employees are empowered to meaningfully shape their careers and our culture.

Impact

Above all, the work we do at the IU Foundation is important, life-changing work. Every day, we hear stories of the impact our efforts are having on the Indiana University family: from a student who can attend college because of a scholarship we helped secure, to a researcher who unlocks a medical breakthrough thanks to funding from a generous donor. These stories inspire us to work even harder on behalf of IU—and for all the lives IU will touch.

The difference between IU and the IU Foundation

The IUF is a 501(c)(3) organization serving Indiana University. IUF and IU employees work together toward a common goal: to maximize private support for IU. We do so by:

  • Fostering lifelong relationships with private donors, corporations, and foundations who wish to support IU through philanthropic gifts.
  • Managing the university’s endowment, providing centralized advancement services (such as IT and annual giving), and creating initiatives like IU Day to raise support for the entire university.
  • Working alongside development officers from individual schools on IU campuses—like the School of Public Health or the Herron School of Art and Design—to raise money for their programs by providing development leadership and fundraising services.

We’re on campus every day, working with faculty, staff, students, alumni, and donors to build the future of Indiana University.
