The Indiana University Foundation is pleased to announce Trent McGee has been hired as the new director of the Indiana University Student Foundation. He will start his new role on Tuesday, September 6. Trent is coming from the Kelley School of Business where he has been the director of student life in the undergraduate program office since 2018. In his current position, he and his team execute the awarding of over $2+ million in Kelley scholarships and develop large scale programs for branding, outreach, and involvement for the 10,000+ Kelley undergraduates through academic focused programming.
Trent will direct all aspects of the IU Student Foundation in Bloomington by planning, coordinating, and carrying out activities that engage the student body in developing leadership skills and lifetime loyalty to the university. This includes oversight of all aspects of engagement with Little 500 riders, steering committee members, and the IUF Board of Associates. He looks forward to continuing the IU Student Foundation's mission to develop and mentor student leaders.
Raised in Kansas City, Trent graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor's degree in communication studies and a master's degree in college student development. Currently, he is working on his master's in business administration at the Kelley School of Business where he is expected to graduate in winter 2023.
Before working at Indiana University, Trent held a variety of roles: working for DIAGEO, USA, coaching women’s soccer at a small college in Kansas, and starting his own sports media business.
