BLOOMINGTON, IND. – Kenneth (Ken) Robertson will join the Indiana University Foundation (IU Foundation) as the new executive vice president of finance and business operations, effective Oct. 14, 2024.
“Ken’s vast experience and professional accomplishments in financial leadership and strategic insight will bring valuable experience and new perspectives to this role and to the IU Foundation,” said J T. Forbes, president and chief executive office, IU Foundation.
“I look forward to working with J T., the senior leaders, and the exceptional talent across the Foundation in supporting IU students, faculty, and staff.”
Robertson most recently served as executive vice president, chief operating officer and chief financial officer of the Greater Milwaukee Foundation. In this role, he managed over $1 billion in assets; led a $100 million collaboration project; served as staff lead for administration & audit, investment and impact Investment committees, and built a robust internal pipeline of talent.
He has worked for several domestic and international organizations and served as the chief financial officer for the largest Boys & Girls Club in the United States located in Greater Milwaukee. Throughout his career, he has managed complex deals and served on several boards.
Robertson is a U.S. Air Force veteran and earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting (cum laude) and a master’s of business administration from University of Wisconsin — Milwaukee. He is also a licensed certified public accountant. Robertson was named one of the 48 most influential black leaders in Wisconsin by Madison 365 in 2021, and the Milwaukee Business Journal recognized him as a black leader you should know and Chief Financial Officer of the Year.
