Indiana University 37th in the nation in Total Voluntary Support rankings

Indiana University is 37th among all colleges and universities in the nation in Total Voluntary Support, the sum of private-sector gifts and non-governmental grants received by the university in fiscal year 2023. In the rankings released by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, Indiana University ranks 18th among public universities and 7th in the Big Ten.

Together, all campuses of Indiana University received $292.7 million in support from the private sector in fiscal 2023. This includes $187 million in gifts and $105.7 million in non-governmental grants.
