Indiana University is 20th among all colleges and universities in the nation in Total Voluntary Support, the sum of private-sector gifts and non-governmental grants received by the university in fiscal year 2018. In the rankings released by the Council for Aid to Education, Indiana University ranks seventh among public universities and third in the Big Ten.
Together, all campuses of Indiana University received $408.5 million in support from the private sector in fiscal 2018. This includes $211.3 million in gifts and $197.2 million in non-governmental grants.
